School-based mindfulness intervention with Chinese migrant children: A pilot study

Collaborating with Rutgers University (New Jersey, USA) and the New Citizen Program (Beijing, China), this project pilots a mindfulness training curriculum for 5th-grade migrant students in Beijing, China, with the aim of testing the feasibility of the curriculum, improving migrant students’ academic performance, and reducing their emotional risks. The training components include: breathing exercises, mindful eating, getting to know your emotion, distress tolerance, gratitude, etc.
